DeMarcus Cousins’ second stint in Puerto Rico got here to a surprising finish this week after being suspended and having his contract terminated.
The previous NBA All-Star was suspended for the rest of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional season and on high of that, had his contract torn up by the Mets de Guaynabo after an unpleasant altercation with followers throughout a Monday evening recreation.
The incident escalated rapidly when the 34-year-old made an obscene gesture towards a courtside fan, exchanged heated phrases, and was seen grabbing the fan’s arm earlier than being restrained by teammates. He was hit with a second technical foul and ejected.
