The Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders will go head-to-head in a blockbuster 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday (March 31). This will mark the first game of the season in Mumbai as the hosts look to revive their season.
MI, who came into the season on the back of a 10th-place finish in 2024, made a nightmare start to the 2025 season, having lost each of their first two games of the season. Meanwhile, the Knight Riders suffered a heavy defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at home in their opening game of the season by seven wickets with 21 balls to spare. However, the defending champions bounced back strongly to defeat the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by eight wickets and open their campaign.
