Winnipeg Goldeyes outfielder Max Murphy and Gary SouthShore RailCats starter Andres Diaz gained the American Affiliation’s Pointstreak batter and pitcher of the week for the week ending 6/2, the league introduced Monday.
Murphy had a banner week on the plate, going 13-for-26 (.500) in six video games with two dwelling runs, two doubles, 11 RBI and 4 walks to associate with eight runs scored.
Sunday capped off an excellent week for the Goldeyes’ slugger as he drove in three with three hits together with a homer in Winnipeg’s blowout 15-2 victory over Lincoln.
The previous participant of the 12 months is in his fourth season in Winnipeg after beforehand enjoying with the St. Paul Saints and spending time in each the Minnesota Twins’ and Arizona Diamondbacks’ organizations.
